like the body rendering, although the gun shots look like he's in a battle with a water pistol, no offense, just first impression.

None taken. I really wanted to keep everything around him in cool colors to help the warm colors pop. I had toyed around with putting some glows over the blue beams, but the more I did to them, the more attention it took away from the main character. Maybe I can vary the color of blue a bit....hmmmm......
