Oh man! I can't tell you how freaking excited I am to be able to show this now! Any comic fan that grew up in the 80's was probably a HUGE fan of the New Teen Titans. Let's face it, Marv Wolfman and George Perez dominated DC comics with New Teen Titans in much the same way that Chris Claremont and John Byrne dominated Marvel with the X-Men. The Judas Contract is still a must read for anyone interested in comics in my opinion.
So when Hi-Fi sent me pages to color for New Teen Titans: Games, by none other than Wolfman and Perez, I literally had to take a few minutes to get over my excitement before I opened the files. Talk about being nervous. George Perez has always been one of my idols in comics and the Titans were IT for me, so to have the opportunity to work on these pages was like stepping back into my childhood and fulfilling a life-goal all in one shot.
I haven't been able to get my hands on a copy of this book yet. I'm anxiously waiting on a phone call from my LCS for both. Since I don't have a copy yet, I'm not entirely sure what color the giant robot fighting Cyborg turned out to be. I initially went with a green color, but was told later on that they wanted it to be white. The last I heard they were still debating it since it was kind of difficult to tell where the robot ended and Cyborg began since they were essentially supposed to be the same color.
I just compared this to the actual page. Your colors are different for a few people/things but I think both versions are really good. The girl Donna's fighting is wearing purple in the real version but I like the color you chose instead.
Thanks! That tends to happen from time to time. Hi-Fi sends out a batch of pages to their stable of colorists to work and turn back in. We don't always get character sheets to go by so we have to make things up as we go along. When we turn the pages in, they'll get adjusted so that things are cohesive.
